Hans Uwe Hielscher, organist
Hans Uwe Hielscher is a German organist and composer, the organist and carilloneur at the Marktkirche in Wiesbaden since 1979, and internationally known as a concert organist. Hielscher studied church music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, and carillon in Utrecht. In Wiesbaden he created a series of weekly free recitals called Orgelmusik zur Marktzeit (organ music at market time) on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. Hielscher is active as a concert organist and has played more than 2500 organ concerts worldwide. This is Mr. Hielscher’s second appearance on the Christ Church Recital Series.
Prior to his recital at 6:30, Mr. Hielscher will present a lecture on the composer Alexandre Guilmant.

David Dorway, organist
Dr. David Dorway has had an illustrious career as a pediatrician in Las Vegas. He received his medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine and has recently retired from a practice of 45 years. He has been the organist at Grace Presbyterian Church (formerly First Presbyterian) for many years. He is active in the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and serves as its Treasurer.
